It ended her career because she had fumbled an golden opportunity to seize the set up in front of the WH press pool and go rogue, be forceful, and make herself the favorite in 2028. Instead she totally crumbled. The optics were childish, weak and dishonorable as she kowtowed to Trump. This is an astute take in the left-leaning Detroit Metro Times:
