D.C. Bar Nominations Committee evaluates nominations for Board vacancies to build a slate of candidates for the annual elections. The NomCom is appointed by the President of the Bar, so that's a lot of power in hands of anyone with ill intent.

Also running is the interim DC US attorney’s chief of staff, Alicia Long, for treasurer. (Interim DC attorney is the one sending misspelled and threatening letters to law schools and members of Congress and calls himself “President Trump’s lawyer.” Also, he’s a huge proponent of Jan 6 defendants.)
