It would be wildly inappropriate and potentially violate BOE rules for a foundation to pay for infrastructure that should be coming out of the school system's budget. It also would exacerbate equity issues if the MCPS high schools that are wealthy enough to have foundations, funded weapons detectors in their high schools while the rest of the MCPS high schools were left to fend for themselves in the ghetto....[/quote]
