Marcus said VAPE detectors are being rolled out this school year, not metal/weapons detectors. The money for the VAPE detectors came from a settlement with vaping JUUL. He very clearly said they are exploring and CONSIDERING weapons detectors but are a long ways off from implementing and would not commit to any sort of timeline.[/quote]
