Wow. Sounds like some lovely people in thhat neighborhood.
I’ve always hated Woodmoor. And the idea that anyone deserves to have poop on their car is indicative of the vibe I get off of Woodmoor. They like having their kids be zoned for Blair, and they like having all that commerce right there, but hate that actual teenagers come along with that. It’s a very closed feeling neighborhood, too. I once had a friend who moved there and she said she was having trouble socially- because even though her kids went to St Bernadette school, and they all went to St Bernadette church, they didn’t belong to (Franklin Knoll?) the local pool that everyone belongs to. Like- it’s cliquey and you have to do all three to really fit in, I guess.
People who think like this beyond high school have something seriously wrong with them. They refuse to acknowledge they are the reason they can’t easily make friends or join new groups. Going to St Bernadette’s likely prevented your friend from forming bonds in the neighborhood. That’s a tiny school with around 300 students and I’d guess they don’t all live in woodmoor. She limited herself by doing that. Of course she isn’t being invited to to hang out in the summer by people who belong to the pool because they know she doesn’t go there. Sounds like she is unwilling to reach out and connect and expects everyone to just include her and change their plans to do it.
Why wouldn’t a neighbor invite a new neighbor to the neighborhood pool just because the new people aren’t members? Seems very cliquey.
Because it’s not even the neighborhood pool. The pool is in a neighborhood over. And you need to be a member to attend or pay $10/pp and sign in as a guest that could be upwards of $40/50 for a day at the pool. Also do you go around inviting people you don’t know to spend the day with you and your kids at the pool?? Lol
