80% of Germany’s iron ore came from Sweden. Hitler would do anything it took to keep that ore coming, including invading Sweden.

When the allies advanced far enough into Germany, Sweden cut off the iron ore shipments.

It’s easy for someone, who doesn’t live next door to the bully and homicidal maniac, to call a person who does a coward.

Sweden did the best it could given its location next to the crazy man who bombed Rotterdam to ashes and confiscated so much food prople died of starvation.

I will share your compassionate post with my family when I visit them in Norway at Christmas.  Although they may not share your sentiments, particularly when we visit the cemetery where 17 of my relatives killed by Nazis are buried.   [/quote]
