Where are these kids disappearing to after Algebra 1 in 6th?

Why aren't any of these dozens of hyper accelerated students doing any middle or high school math contests and scoring anywhere near the level of (some) kids 1-2 grades below them school?

They aren't filling Blair/Poolesville SMCS Functions or even SMCS "Precalculus with Algebra 2" (because their aren't nearly enough seats to fit them.

And if they are somehow taking SMCS "Precalculus with Algebra 2", what was the point of taking Alg 2 in 8th?

What other high school has 25+ kids in Calculus in 10th and then off to offsite college math in 12th?

And if they are all slowing down in HS to avoid running out of math (Calc AB + BC, or AP Stats, or both), what was the point of rushing ahead early on shaky foundation?
