You can try to get rid of the Second Amendment, do your best.
People say they want the country to be safer. That would do it. Won't happen in my lifetime though, unfortunately. But I've already bought my retirement home where I don't have to worry about it, so in 5 years I really don't care what happens here anymore.
You hate the freedom and right the constitution gives to America citizens to own guns. Enjoy your retirement.
Yes, I think that amendment is outdated with today's technology. I hate the mass shootings, and that kids have to do active shooter drills starting in kindergarten. It's only going to get worse as weaponry advances. And yes, I will, thank you.
- but you still voted for two people who both boasted about owning automatics. Brilliant logic there, PP. Moron.
Was there another candidate? I just prefer to live in a country where gun ownership is not necessary.
What country is it unnecessary to own a gun in? Gun ownership is not mandatory in the US. Gun ownership is not a requirement to live in the US. I don’t understand why people think Americans should discard rights because they don’t like them. They are rights, for everyone. If you don’t like the right, just personally decline. Don’t think everyone should give up rights just because you don’t want them.
Just because I was born American does not mean I have to agree with everything in the constitution.
Correct. But also you should not want to take away the rights of other Americans based on your opinion. Don’t they get their opinion too? Or does just your opinion matter? What country are you retiring to that is so incredibly safe and crime free that guns are completely unnecessary?
You believe having guns reduces crime? I think the statistics in the US show the opposite. On the other hand there are plenty of countries where gun ownership is illegal or highly regulated and their crimes rates are much lower. Japan had 3 non-gang-related gun homicides last year. But you obviously think they need guns to reduce shoplifting.
