That seems reasonable to me. You would likely spend a lot more if you must travel to her. Flights are not cheap, especially when something happens and you need to hop on the next flight in 4 hours to get there. I'd find a way to help out, so that your mom is better cared for (hard to do remote without someone nearby unless you pay to put them in a CCRC and it doesn't seem like any of you could afford that) [/quote]
