I taught 3 year olds for over a decade and I can guarantee you that 98% of them know not to throw something if you have instructed them not to do so and have been consistent. I will tell you how shocked many of their parents were when they found out how capable their children were of following rules and boundaries, helping clean up, and doing things on their own like putting on their coats. It takes patience and practice, but excusing children by saying they have no idea is exactly how parents are sending poorly behaved children off to elementary school. [/quote]
