It is go good to hear your son’s experience has been a positive one. Do you have a sense of how the school is with financial aid? I’m afraid that will be the only way we can swing the cost of tuition if he should be admitted.

Accepted Not great grades (3.5ish) or HSPT (60s) Lapsed Catholic and public school student Athlete
This is not a typical result. Congrats.
A double-edged sword of sorts. Now we need to find $30k+ per year for the next four years or spend the rest of our lives wondering what if. I am amazed that he was admitted, but if anything I’d wager it was due to having a solid history of character-building extra-curriculars and strong essays.
Gonzaga has been an amazing experience for our son. I know the tuition can be a burden but it's been worth it.

We know several families who's received financial aid - 2 families are paying $5K a yr. You must ask if you feel like you need it. Caveat though, both were excellent athletes. Sports are serious stuff at the school and very very competive. We know boys who have left for other schools where they would play on Varsity but had no chance at Gonzaga. My husband complains every now and again about the tuition (and the rise) but he knows and sees how happy and confident our son is in both academics and his sport. We only have one child and that took the bite out of the cost.
