Arabs/Muslims along with 3rd parties will hand the state to Trump.
Muslims have basically nothing in common with the D party, no common beliefs or values. The only thing that the D party can offer is some kind of broad validation of their minority status, but no validation of their actual views or goals. If you look at Pew polling of Muslims, support for Ds have been declining since 2014. The only thing the left has going for it is the race hustle, but current events call the actual ROI for Muslims of that approach into question. Most people don't see themselves as being "minority" first. They see their identity as being interwoven with their beliefs and culture, and the D party isn't exactly traditional or religious.
Trump's base and the only ones that he evens makes an attempt to appeal to, are white, conservative Christians (although why a man who has violated almost every one of the Ten Commandments is their choice, I have no idea). During Trump's administration, women and minorities faced increasing disdain and violence. Trump has instigated the increase of anti-Black violence, anti-Latino violence, chauvinism, anti-Asian violence, antiSemitism, anti-LGBTQ violence and so on. Trump gave acceptance to white nationalists, white supremacists, chauvinists and Christian evangelicals so that they could openly voice their hatred and their bigotry no longer had to be hidden. The first two years of his administration saw a rise in anti-Muslims violence and made being Muslim in America more dangerous. The number of women attacked for their Muslim clothing and head gear increased. General violence against Muslims increased. Trump is no friend to Muslims. I'm surprised that self-preservation doesn't affect their judgment and decision. I am Asian American and I watched violence against Asians during Trump's term in office. I read articles of an elderly Asian grandma assaulted on a street corner and sent to the hospital. I know of cases even in the DC metropolitan area of Asians being targeted and attacked just for being Asian. I don't want to see this type of violence in my children's future just because there are white conservatives who feel enabled because we have a Bigot in Chief at the head of our government.
I am Asian too and I will not vote for a party that trades on racist dog-whistles, let alone explicit racist policies, such as a Muslim ban. This is my bedrock principle and single-issue vote, and explains why I've never voted for a Republican candidate. They've all done that in some measure, or let their supporters go relatively unchecked in that direction. I do this even though as a wealthy person, some GOP economic policies have benefited me and my family, and even though I think that the American Left of the past few years has entirely lost itself in frothy, but ultimately virtue-signaling and impractical, DEI extremism. You don't hear that sort of crap from the European Left, or any other left-wing party in the world. They run on jobs and prices, like the Democrats should do. Just think how powerful the GOP would be if they welcomed people of all religions and skin color. They'd get all the immigrant votes! The Africans, East Asians, South Asians, Arabs and Muslims, Central and South Americans, they're ALL more socially conservative than the average American!
