Yes, if you buy a tv on Facebook marketplace that was stolen, you are charged with buying stolen property.

In this case, with title research, the current owners should have known (and it was their responsibility to understand) the title history.  They bought stolen property, perpetuated white supremacy, and they should go to jail.  [/quote]

Title insurance covers civil penalties and ownership.  Not criminal penalties.  Buying stolen goods is a crime.  Not a fantasy.  It’s not legal.[/quote]
