I can think of several prominent women who conducted well known affairs with people somehow associated from work and it hasn't had an impact. I don't think this is as gendered as you present. (If I were to venture a guess at what the actual main "fall out factor" is-- it's whether the person presented as having morals. If they don't, we don't really care if they have affairs. RFK Jr already had a reputation so it's already baked in with him.)[/quote]

Are you kidding?  Look at Paula Broadwell.  David Petraeus left Govt but remained a White House adviser and got a new position as a partner in a private equity firm.  She became a pariah and no one would hire her.
