Our public schools here are underfunded because of what our elites prioritize economically. SAT scores are not the measure of human worth that you think they are. Also Michigan is missing a lot of the striving, prepping culture that DMV has. That's part of the reason for the difference. The elbows here are softer. I paid for my MI public school kid to prep to pull this year's average up. I'm doing my part! I've been asking my kid to report back on OOS genius kids. So far he doesn't feel blown away. But he's not in Engineering. I'd actually like to see the OOS stats by college. [/quote]
