I agree with the poster above who says that the pizza maker always insists that their homemade is better than takeout, and this certainly describes DH.  During COVID he got very into pizza crust making and what started as a fun activity for us to do as a family really morphed into an obsession of his.  Now that the kids are older, and activities are back in full swing, we do have to sometimes get takeout meals depending on what's going on and how much time we have at the end of the day.

DH has no problem going to restaurants for burger, Thai food, Chinese, etc.  It is only pizza that he flat out insists has to be his own homemade.  The kids are always trying to lobby for picking up a pizza at one of the local shops in our town that are quite good.  (Not Domino's or Papa Johns as have been discussed above).  DH simply responds that all take out pizza is awful and that we'll make it at home.

Aside from this, he's a pretty low key husband and father who we love very much, but he simply has become obsessed with pizza making and sees ordering takeout as a missed opportunity for him to work on his homemade...[/quote]
