He usually parks in the front of the box, in front of our next door neighbor who doesn't park on the street at all. Our window looks out on the second spot. I've started parking there even though it's against my husband's idea of etiquette because I am tired of being overly polite just to reserve that second space for a work truck that isn't even for a business on our street, and that's so big it makes it hard for 4 cars to fit anyway. Petty? Maybe.

That said, I think it would be a bit obnoxious to insist we should get 3 out of 4 spots, which sounds like what OP wants. I am not very sympathetic to households with limited parking and an above average number of cars. This all happens because people want more cars than the infrastructure is built for. [/quote]
