This is the element people are missing. I feel like the people questioning his involvement haven't been paying a lot of attention to pop culture in the last few years. Snoop got invited because of his hilarious viral videos doing sports commentary. He and Martha Stewart have had a whole thing together on social media for years. They are very funny together. +1 So many more Olympians are bringing flair, color and their cultures. It's no longer the staid, gentrified event of the past. Why shouldn't commentators reflect that?

In every clip, athletes are thrilled when they spot Snoop. They don’t seem to be questioning why he's there. He's been gracious, supportive, appreciative and totally cool. Wish I could hang with him!
