You are correct that Maryland is wealthier than Virginia. Maryland is #1, Virginia is #10. [b]The issue for maryland is the majority of the jobs are government based jobs so should there be a cutback or change in location, Maryland would have an issue. [/b]

For education, Maryland is ranked 3 and Virginia 6 so pretty close on that regard. The DMV is a well educated area.
