Well for starters, the cheerleaders of nfl teams are a drain in the budget.

Doing the DCC calendar was her brainbaby!…followed by the  “making the team” series.

So yes they make some money NOW (that locker room upgrade alone!!!) but they were not always a profit center at all.

And if they paid actual wages, they would definitely be in the red.
Plus there are tons of young women who are willing to do the job for the exposure and the opportunities it opens up for them.
They literally turn hundreds of hopefuls away every season. No one is being forced to stay.[/quote]

So, before any of the current cheerleaders were even born.  And they said in the documentary that they make a million dollars a year in profit from the DCC, which means that they could absolutely pay actual wages without going into the red.  There are only 35 cheerleaders.[/quote]

They obviously make a lot more than $1 million a year from the DCC. Think about all the appearances, calendars, and the reality show alone. No way it’s 1 million a year.[/quote]
