As simple as this statement is.....this poster hits it on the head.  I won't go too much into my background, but you can read between the lines.  For every club, a scout has to watch 2 age groups.  The U17s and U19s, a portion of the U17s are too early to recruit and a portion of the U19s have already been recruited.  This tells me that ENCL is laser focused on making the college coach's life easier and the results are that he/she can see more recruitable players across more clubs.    [/quote]

Just because they are the mighty MLS doesn't mean that their U17 players magically all graduate in a single year. they don't.  MLS has the exact same issue as ECNL. No doubt they will follow suit  now that USYS and ECNL has streamlined and gotten rid of the trapped player mishap. However. MLS is less focussed on college recruiting, more on pro where graduating year doesn't matter. But MLS next... [/quote]

This is a Crazy statement to say MLS Academies and MLS Next is going to follow  ecnl lead 
Especially since college recruiting doesn't prioritize ecnl over MLS Next in the least[/quote]
