This apparently gives them another advantage. :([/quote] This is correct. There is a geometry component to the MAP-M score. My DC is in geometry for 8th grade and got 298 on that component. It helped to raise her grade to 278 for the composite MAP-M score. It’s one of the reasons I don’t think MAP-M is a fair test. More preparation always means a high score. A lot of kids don’t have access to that preparation.[/quote]
