I can see what op means to a certain extent. I'm middle aged and still very slender wearing size 0 or 2. Every day over lunch I brisk walk 2 miles. I work on a large campus with lengths of long halls and walkways. I eat very lean. I never partake in donuts or the candy dish. I don't have a sweet tooth. My weakness is salt vinegar chips. But I only eat them a few times a year. All the women I work with are overweight or obese. Once I had one ask me why I wouldn't have the donut. I just politely declined. She told me "I know you're slim but you're probably skinny fat so you might as well est the donut.". I didn't bother responding bc I was shocked. I also am not skinny fat. My metabolic health is very good and my waist is a lot smaller than my hips. I do think there is a certain amount of judgment and maybe envy.
Agree. Middle aged women overweight/obese women are the worst. Especially if you don’t want to partake in the office junk food. They notice and comment. I never comment on what they eat- but they are always quick to make passive aggressive comments about what I do or don’t eat
I've had this experience too. I just smile and serenely sip my green tea while they eat from the community trough.
