Golden children, heroes, rebels, addicts, lost children, peacemakers, caretakers and scapegoats etc.,  don't occur in nondysfunctional families.[b] It is caused by the lack of a healthy relationship between the parents. There is usually generational dysfunction from the grandparents. [/b][/quote]
