[/quote] Part of the process has changed this year according to my friend who is a helicopter parent. According to her, until last year, parent referral was optional. Most parents did submit referral because they wanted to. This year onward, for the child to be considered for AAP, parent referral was a must. Only if parent referred, they were going to open a file for the child's AAP process. We submitted referral for DC and we would have anyway even if it was optional like until last year.
