[/quote] That was how I understood it as well. It is unfortunate that these clubs ended up in this position, and I am not sure why ECNL did this, but I don’t think they really had much of a choice in this. I agree with others that the future is a bit uncertain, but if the new team takes the top players from each of the three clubs, I would imagine the new team should be very competitive (and presumably better than the old individual teams were). We can come back to this thread in two years to see how it played out. From a player standpoint, it is of course frustrating for the lower players on each club who don’t make the new club, but for those that do, they’ll have a chance at being much more competitive going forward.[/quote]
