Agree with this.  Women who consider themselves hot or beautiful simply can’t handle it that men, while they might agree these women are hot or beautiful, don’t think they’re THAT much better than “plain Jane” next door.  Certainly not so much more appealing that their personalities wouldn’t be in play.[/quote]

But those men you are talking about aren’t hot themselves. They are average looking guys who think that average looking, plain Janes, as you call them, are better for them than slightly hotter women. Gorgeous men do not end up with plain Janes. Look at who Paul Newman and Mathew McConaughey and Brad Pitt, etc. ended up with. Those women were not plain Janes. I have never seen a legitimately hot man with a plain wife.[/quote]

I’m not trying to convince you about my looks. I will never see you and you will never see me. Who cares what wither one of us looks like? OP said the mismatched looks between these two actors made it too distracting to watch the show. I agree. I don’t think they match at all and I could never see them together in real life.

It was “worth it” because they’d had a headline making affair and broken up his marriage. Brad Pitt has starred alongside many attractive women and nobody cared about those movies as much as they did about the one that ended his marriage.

It’s the same reason people cared about the notebook as much they did- Ryan gosling and Rachel mcadams had a public off screen relationship.

Nobody really cared about Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robby on wolf of Wall Street, because there was no public relationship. Etc.[/quote]
