Do you mean the person claiming it’s literally impossible to change into shoes at their school is a troll?
“Garbage excuse for a school” because kids can’t change boots? Where do expect them to do it, in the crowded hallway or locker area while standing up? Go away crazy lady.
Yes in the locker area while standing up. Presumably teens are in good enough shape that bending down isn’t life threatening
What locker area? Have you even been in a MS or HS this decade? There are no lockers, let alone locker areas.
I dunno. You may want to consider that some school districts may be different than yours. My kids have 2 lockers. One in the hallway, and one in the gym lockeroom
Do your kids go to some very small private school? Most public high schools around here literally have thousands of students. There's no room in the school to give each student two lockers.
No, its a Middle school with about 800 students. And as a different PP mentioned, they are actually required to use their lockers (not their PE ones, though). No backpacks in the classroom is the policy. So kids don't go to the locker between every class, but they probably go 3-4 times a day.
Ok, but it's not like that at all middle schools or high schools. I'd also be surprised if there is really space and time at your kid's school for every student to stand in front of their lockers to change shoes at the end of the day and still make it out on time to catch the school bus.
Maybe class could end a bit earlier or the bus could leave a bit later? This is not some insurmountable problem, FFS.
And no, the bus can't just leave a bit later. It needs to go pick up the next batch of kids.
Are you seriously telling me that in 2024 the bus schedules can’t be adjusted across the board? Schools/buses are incapable of communicating with each other? No wonder this country is going down the tubes… there appears to be no can-do, problem-solving spirit anymore. I guess this everyone-is-a-victim, no-one-has-agency attitude that has been shoved down our throats for the past couple of decades is working.
Lady you have lost what few marbles you had to begin with. NO an entire county's bus schedule can't be adjusted across the board. Just so Johnny has time to take his boots off and socialize (and potentially fight as you previously mentioned) with his peers. You have gone off the deep end. But you're providing some quality entertainment.
Why can the bus schedule not be revised? Because it would inconvenience some adults? Or because the adults in charge are lazy and/or completely incompetent? But I am sure it’s entertaining to encounter someone who thinks schools should actually make an effort to do right by our children. Crazy lady thinks kids should be able to wear coats and boots to school when it snows!!
