How many adults are wearing boots and changing at work? None of you. I’m not. And no, the entire way isn’t on perfectly cleared sidewalks for me either. The kids will be okay and all of this will be melted in another day or two.
I always wear boots outdoors when it is raining, snowing, icy, and/or slushy. I keep a pair of shoes at my office. It takes less than one minute to change shoes. This is not only for my own personal safety, comfort, and hygiene. It benefits everyone who shares the office to not have water, slush, and mud tracked all over the floors. I cannot figure out if those of you pushing back so hard against the very idea of appropriate footwear are incompetent or just lazy.
That’s nice. I’m a hs teacher and try not to even wear a coat to work because the only place I have to put it us the back of the desk chair and I have to share that with others who use the room. We don’t have a dedicated desk. No, there isn’t room anywhere for extra shoes or boots when we don’t even have a place to hang coats.
I'm sorry, that stinks.
