I ate a lot of takeout and repeated meals when I was single. Subway or a lean cuisine for lunch every day, takeout from the same couple of places every night. I shared a small apartment and tiny kitchen with a couple of roommates and it was such a hassle. It wasn’t that I only wanted to eat those same things all the time, I was just lazy and it was easy to stick to a routine, cooking for one person seemed like a waste of time. Then I met my now-DH, who lived alone with a big kitchen, and he loved to cook. I learned how to cook myself, and now I make dinner almost every night for our family (3 kids). I wouldn’t be phased by the take out, as long as he was willing to expand his horizons and was willing to eventually learn to cook at least occasionally!
Same! Cooking I was such a different experience after I got married. I would just want to be sure that my partner was financially savvy and didn’t expect to keep doing that after he had kids, if I was dating for the purpose of getting married for the first time.
