Actually, I thought the PSA was worthwhile. The weather forecast for yesterday was completely off, there was little advance warning indicating how bad the roads would be late in the day, and we haven't had a comparable snowfall in quite some time. I wish I had seen the post last evening, before my young adult son came home from work around 8 p.m., distressed about an accident that happened in front of him, saying that he was barely able to stop in time. Young drivers in the area haven't had an opportunity to practice driving in winter weather like this, and many others are out of practice. [/quote]

Agree with this. I went the grocery store around 5pm yesterday and was surprised at how bad Braddock Road was.  There should have been warnings up telling people to stay off the roads.  The snow started much earlier than predicted and created problems that weren’t anticipated.  By the time I got home the traffic report was full of accidents from the slick roads.  [/quote]
