Don't believe me? Look up the details of the case against Gerald Thomas (accused Days Inn shooter) in the DC court-case lookup. You'll find the following entry:

11/21/2023	Defendant failed to appear / NO BOND Detainer Bench Warrant issued. PSA Katrice Spruill advised that the Defendant was arrested in Prince Georges County, Maryland on 11/16/23 and is being held No Bond with Preliminary Hearing set for 12/18/23 in one matter and Trial set for 1/4/23 in another matter.

Then enter his name in the Maryland court-case lookup and you'll see the attempted first- and second-degree murder charges against him.
