I wish I would’ve seen this earlier. We are sitting in the arena and were wondering why it’s so empty. We didn’t receive an email. The garage we parked in closes at 12:30.
You'll be there a while. You'll be able to get through most of the show by 1210.
Ha. Yeah. We’ll probably leave at midnight. I imagine others will leave earlier if they took Metro. Right now some crappy DJ is on and it’s like that scene from “Coming To America” where “Sexual Chocolate” playing in the church.
This image   I still have PTSD from her concert about 11 years ago where we waited 2 hours while a meh DJ played (I wonder if it’s the same guy…). I could actually tolerate Madonna’s tardiness if she would bother to get a decent opening act. But I guess that would cut into her share of the $$. Lauryn Hill is also notorious for starting her set 2-3 hours late (with a DJ as the warm up  ) which is why I will sadly never attend one of her concerts again. These ladies don’t seem to understand their audience is 40+, we don’t have the time or energy to stay out all night on a weeknight!
PP here. My whole point is she does not give a shit about you! It's not that she's a bad person and you can debate the morality I suppose of people like her and au assure you she's not the first. My thing is that in her entire career she has not cared about what people really thought about her. She has cared about specific issues, her platform, what she puts out. She has been so successful because exactly she has been true to who she is. So you really think she's gonna start her show early for you? She's always been who she is and you have to decide on the basis of her work whether you care to experience what she has to offer on her terms. I don't know. I suppose you can say someone who cares would be someone worth supporting more? But it's not who she ever was. I def felt she was less edgy for what it's worth these days. But yeah I'm fine with her how she is warts and all. I'm sure a lot if people are turned off by it but I just don't think she is starting late on purpose to upset you LOL
It's disrespectful to her fans. "Who she is" is mainly possible because of fan support.
People are fans cause they like her stuff. She is who she is warts and all. She would not have what she has if she cared so much about what you thought all the time! It's a different time now though I concede that. I think that while it's great people love Taylor and Gaga for being really nice, they're not the kind of performer Madonna is. They are singers and very musically focused. Madonna always stood on that platform of an artiste in that singing is probably ironically not her strength. She started as a dancer, shot to fame based on her videos in large part, reinvented herself many times over and has stated on the record she is more than a singer or watch be known as anyway. Her concerts were always a show and it's a different style than the 2 other singers. If you want to enjoy a show and be made gaping hearing a few songs. If you feel paying for a show gives you the privileges as a paying customer to enjoy, definitely you'll hate Madonna! Cause she never ever cared about making her fans happy as she did figuring out who she wanted to be. She has a vision and we like her because we think she's talented. We go to see what she wants to show us. That's kinda all there is to it. There's no how happy did she make me. You'll be disappointed every time! Personally I find it refreshing and it doesn't bother me because I know what I'm signing up for. If u didn't think she was talented though I def would hate her. But then again I'm a fan. Not a crazy one this is my first show I've seen of hers but the point is I understand what she's about and I've always been a fan of hers even if I don't go buy everything of hers. I don't play her music daily but I really enjoy her stuff and appreciate her sense of self.
