My mom is 82 and looks a lot younger than her contemporaries.  I saw a photo of her at her high school class reunion, and she looks so much younger than everyone else.  She gets a lot of compliments about how young she looks.  Here is what she does:

1. She has always been slender.
2. She is confident in herself.
3. She keeps up with current events and likes to talk about interesting topics, rather than just about her grandchildren or what happened in the past.
4. She does not talk about medical issues.
5. She generally is not a complainer.
6. She has all the latest technology.
7. She wears stylish outfits, and is always a bit dressy.  She invests in her appearance.  She would never in a million years wear sweatpants or a hoodie.  She always looks put-together - from her coat to her outfit to her shoes.
8. (She does not dye her hair, and so it's lucky that she only very recently turned slightly grey.  If she were willing to dye her hair, I think that she would look even younger.)
9. She eats healthy foods, and gets sufficient rest.  (She has been fortunate to have good health throughout her life, with the exception of a bout with Stage 3 cancer, which she managed to overcome (thank you Lord).
