My DH and I are consultants who made a lot as 1099 contractors billing by the hour. Haven’t worked a W-2 job in over 20 yrs as my consulting biz was 3 times more lucrative. I now still consult periodically to help out friends or former clients if needed. Don’t need the work. Love the freedom! Retired early. [/quote]
