Xavi's play is far above average but his speed was average for pro football on an elite Barcelona he was not the slowest on his team.  Iniesta was at 30 km/h

Messi will not be surprised that he has a 41 inch vertical leap and moves at 32.5 km/h.  All fact.  He may not have those abilities today but he did and they are elite.    Kobe had a 38 in vertical   Allen Iverson was 41 in vertical.   This vertical leap matches the explosive first step of Messi with Kobe and Iverson.  Coupled with Messi's low center of gravity, deception, and skill he is unguardable in a aport not dependent on height [/quote]
