I laughed under my breath at the nurses who said either of them were adorable. I just chalked it up to being part of their job description to like all manner of babies. They were both skinny newborns so I really believe that the chubbiness was their salvation until they grew into their looks. In our case, they didn't have that luxury of plumpness until my milk came in and they filled out. (For what it's worth: they are both extremely handsome now. The uglier of the two ended up to become stopped-on-the-street-by-strangers handsome. I'm only bragging because this is anonymous.
