School shootings didn’t start with Sandy Hook. Change should have happened after the horrors of Columbine, but those victims are rarely mentioned. That should have been the last school shooting.[/quote]

DP - obviously, but PP was saying that was when he or she gave up hoping for sensible gun controls. Me too. When such young kids were massacred in Sandy Hook ES, I was briefly confident that we would finally get some decent gun safety legislation and enforcement -/ instead NRA doubled down with their guns don’t kill people nonsense, many people were unbelievably cruel to the parents and denied the massacre of the lambs even took place, and mass gun violence has become even more common place.
