As another PP said, learning how to be part of conversations is a skill and with so much of our teens' time spent texting I am more than happy to help my kid learn how to be part of adult conversations. If you'd rather not have your friends' older kids be part of the adult conversation, either have something for them to do and make it clear you don't expect them to watch the younger kids or make your parties adults only.
