As a suburban mother of 2, I can tell you that the amount of time I think about this is virtually zero.  At this stage of life, I'm no longer living in sketchy areas or hanging around with sketchy friends or doing sketchy things.

Really? I worry just as much about this as I ever did, especially as a mother, and especially now that I have two daughters in college. Part of raising them was teaching them about situational awareness and personal safety. My son gets those talks in addition to conversations about consent. It's odd to me that you think you now have the luxury to avoid this topic. [/quote]
