My kid had nothing to do with the plan. Had my kid gone, my kid would have been out for the rest of the season. I cancelled the trip - sports was more important than a trip. As a MCPS sports parent, I feel for OP and her daughter. Sports comes first. The coach accommodated the holiday but not the travel. That’s pretty typical. And the consequences were really minimal for OP’s kid. [/quote]
