MoCo is such a dangerous S hole. There is absolutely human trafficking going on on top of wide spread drug distribution. Criminal gangs have taken over large parts of the county. Silver Spring is like a 3rd world country. How much you want to bet they're being trafficked? It has gotten 10x worse with uncontrolled illegal immigration into the county. What could possibly go wrong when you rollout the red carpet for hundreds and thousands of undocumented individuals with no criminal background information or verifiable information? Down the tubes.
Most of the Silver Spring violence is spillover from DC.
No, much of SS is imported poverty that has transformed the area into Central America. It has brought with it all of the gangs, drug rings, and human smuggling operations. Just go drive around the area, it doesn’t even look like you’re in America anymore. Random guys selling figurines all over the road, coconut vendors selling coconuts and littering all of the debris everywhere, families begging in shopping centers, houses with 8 families piling in and cars everywhere parked outside….just a huge decline in MoCo and SS. They voted for all of this unfettered, undocumented migration and now crime is going up while quality of life is going down.
I live in Silver Spring and this is all true. Frustrating because our neighborhood used to be an affordable middle lass neighborhood. Now, it’s a bit of a mess.
What part of SS? I live in SS near Kensington and it's not at all like this.
I live in Aspen Hill and it's like that in my neighborhood. Multiple homes being rented illegally to multiple families. And, as you go down towards Viers Mill, where those women got stabbed at a yard sale. We now even have the religious guys proselytizing on the corner in Spanish.
