My family did and reacted way differently than Biden.   Kids became first, last and only priority.   Later on, my dad was still able to have a massively important career in his field notwithstanding.  When I first met Hunter 20 or so years ago I just felt sorry for him.  Never met his older brother but I don’t think their father’s path was the best one for them.  [/quote]

They have access to the best therapists and psychologists in the country. My spouse lost their mom when all kids were young and all grew up to be successful adults without any drug addiction.
