We belong to one of these pools and the swim team is awful.  They’re basically teaching kids from the youngest ages to be rude and obnoxious.  Funny thing is most of these kids will burn out because all the coaches and parents care about is winning now instead of long term development. [/quote]

There are 102 teams in NVSL. 99 of them despise (and no Overlee, Chesterbrook, and Tuckahoe none of the 99 are "jealous" of you) 3 of them. [/quote]

I’m the Overlee parent from the 90s and this is my point.  Anyone who wastes any time “hating” a successful summer swim team for kids should ask themselves if they might be a little competitive themselves?

Bro, it’s just a bunch of suburban kids swimming for a few weeks in the summer.  That’s all it is.  This thread appeared on “recent topics”
and as a former Overlee parent I was just curious as to how they keep being the top team.  They were top long before we joined and apparently they still are.  I didn’t give a f_ck then, and I don’t now.  (If you actually read my first post before getting all huffy puffy and defensive, you’d know that.)
