What your post emphasizes is that FCPS has created entirely too much administrative bloat that wastes taxpayer money and has zero inpact on education, academic achievement,  student behavior or teacher compensation.

And what exactly is your evidence and data to support your last paragraph? Are you really suggesting that the region structure as asst supt position be eliminated entirely and that this “layer of bureaucracy” be removed? That all 200 principals should report to one person and all parent issues should funnel to one person? If that’s not what you’re suggesting, please clarify. [/quote]

They support and evaluate principals. They field the endless complaints from parents. I truly hope they don’t tweet that stuff out.  You couldn’t pay me enough to do their job.

There’s a superintendent. Are you suggesting that she evaluate all the principals herself? Or are you okay with a layer of assistant superintendents who support & evaluate principals and help them resolve issues. If not that, what’s your solution?

Instead of 6 there should be 3 at most.  Once down to 3 take the 2 best out of the 3 and there you are a good second layer of management.   As others have said many of the current 6 were probably promoted because they were incompetent in prior positions, so FCPS should probably start with a clean slate and hire externally. [/quote]
