Just got this email. " (as a company) is celebrating PRIDE tomorrow by showing our colors! If you would like to show your support of PRIDE month, dress in Rainbow or your favorite color tomorrow, June 28th." I don't know what to think of it. How to explain PRIDE to a 4 yo?
Don't. Let the daycare handle it. Tell your kid they can pick out their favorite color shirt to wear if you want or don't. It doesn't matter much. Kids that age won't really care. The whole concept of pride can be what someone else posted - happy and proud of who you are. That's something that little kids can grasp. Or they can teach them about the colors of the rainbow. Other than that, little kids neither know or care about pride month.
