My husband is all of those things now, but when I met him he was just smart and devoted, lol.

You just naturally attract someone who is about where you are, right? But over the course of decades, one or both of you may become much better or worse than you were in the beginning. I thought my husband had the potential to be a high earner, but he had a lot of missteps in the beginning and I carried us for several years. Now he's all the things you mentioned, while I'm struggling with health problems and heavier than I'd like. I'm sure we look mismatched, but that's life.[/quote]
