The music was horrible and sounded like highschool slam poetry.
We loved it and so did many others - why get your kicks raining on others’ joyful parades?
White people rap music. Listen to some JayZ, Public Enemy, DMX, Lil Wayne and other rappers to get an idea of what rap music can sound like. The Hamilton songs are like Disney music channel watered down style for white people, who feel so street when they rap along. Upside: you don't have to go "mmm" when the n bomb drops.
The creator is Latino not white. Many of the performers were POC. I preferred that it was not full of misogynistic vulgar messaging. That is the worst part of rap. It was great to be able to see a show with youth. Everyone I saw show with was either Latino or African American and all Loved it. It was a celebration of America’s diversity and little explored part of early history in an entertaining way.
