Why would I be aware of a not highly ranked school in a state I did not live when I was applying to Top 25 schools? The insistence that JMU was well known 30 years ago is just bizarre. It's in a small town in central VA--nowhere near DC. Where would I have heard of it? [/quote]

Showing that pre-internet I did not know about random public universities not in my state? Did you have an encyclopedic knowledge of publics ranked 5-10 in their state university systems all over the country 30 years ago? Weird 90s flex but ok. [/quote]
