Why? Plenty of mentally ill people are out there acting weird and living essentially functional lives. She is mentally ill, clearly. What was always wrong is that she was imprisoned and mentally ill. She earned all that money, she has a right to have a credit card and go shopping and post videos of herself dancing weirdly in her living room if she wants to. She doesn't appear to be a physical threat to herself or others, so we should leave her alone.

I think a lot of people wanted her to emerge and be like 2001 Britney again. That was always a silly desire clearly there was a real mental health issue. But just because she emerged not 2001 Britney but somewhat damaged and combative doesn't mean getting her out of that situation was the wrong choice. [/quote]
